The ranking
Ranked by total verified lounges, then by lounges per terminal. Every figure is drawn from Loungely's verified lounge dataset — see our methodology for how lounges are counted and verified.
How we measured it
“Lounge-dense” can mean two different things, so this study reports both. The primary ranking is total verified lounges — the raw count of distinct lounges Loungely has confirmed at each airport. That is the figure most travellers mean by “which airport has the most lounges.”
But a raw count rewards sprawling mega-hubs. A traveller stuck in one terminal cannot use a lounge three terminals away. So we also report lounges per terminal: London (LHR) averages 6.5 across its 4 terminals. A compact airport with a high per-terminal figure can be more convenient in practice than a larger one with more lounges spread thinner.
Only airports with at least one verified lounge are included (132 in total). Figures reflect live data and were last verified July 2026. The 50th-ranked airport and above account for the densest lounge coverage Loungely tracks worldwide.

Lounge density — frequently asked
Which airport has the most lounges in 2026?
London Heathrow Airport (LHR) in London tops Loungely's ranking with 26 verified lounges across 4 terminals, ahead of Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) with 17. Figures are from verified lounge data, last refreshed July 2026.
How is lounge density measured?
Two ways, both shown in the ranking: total verified lounges at an airport (the headline figure), and lounges per terminal, which normalises for airport size. A hub with many lounges spread thin across a dozen terminals can be less convenient than a compact airport with a high lounges-per-terminal figure.
How many airports and lounges are in this study?
The ranking covers 132 airports with at least one verified lounge, 537 lounges in total across 244 terminals — an average of 4.1 lounges per airport. United States has the most verified lounges of any country (196).
How current is this ranking?
The underlying lounge data was last verified July 2026 and the page revalidates against live data hourly. Each lounge in Loungely's dataset carries its own verification date; the ranking reflects the most recent figures available.
